Tokoriki Diving, Fiji: Tokoriki Diving: The Great Fiji Butterflyfish Count

2008 is the International Year of the Reef (IYOR), and the world is going coral reef crazy! Special activities are being held world-wide to raise awareness and conserve corals and the animals that live on them.

Between 2nd and 8th November 2008, people from all over the world will come to Fiji to count Butterflyfish while diving, snorkelling or riding glass-bottom boats, and contribute results to the Fiji Butterflyfish Biodiversity project.
Help celebrate and record Fiji’s amazing coral reef biodiversity, have fun and show you care about our world’s delicate coral reef systems: take part in a week-long hunt for the Great Fiji Butterflyfish at Tokoriki Island Resort.

If you are staying at Tokoriki between the 2nd and 8th November 2008 and would like to take part in ‘The Great Fiji Butterflyfish Count’ then please get in touch in advance so we can organise a fish slate for you.
